Who we are

Sanduq is published by 497 Studios, the trading name of Simon Tibbs. You can reach us at support@getsanduq.com.

What we collect

We do not collect your personal information. Sanduq has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not operate a server that receives your apps, your app data or your activity.

This website, getsanduq.com, sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you join the waitlist, we keep what is described under "If you join the waitlist" below.

If you join the waitlist

If you join the waitlist on getsanduq.com, we keep your email address and which phone you use, only to tell you when Sanduq is available on it. They are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We do not share them or use them for anything else. To be removed, email support@getsanduq.com and we will delete them.

What stays on your phone

• The apps you add, their icons and the data they save.
• Your settings, collections and favourites.
• Reminders you or your apps schedule, which your phone delivers locally.
• Sanduq's error log. Before an entry is saved, web addresses are shortened to the site name, and email addresses, card numbers and access tokens are removed. The log never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.

You can remove any of this at any time by clearing an app's data, deleting an app, clearing the logs or uninstalling Sanduq.

When Sanduq uses the internet

Sanduq works offline. It connects to the internet only in these cases, and never to send information to us:

• Files an app needs. When you add an app that uses files from another website, such as fonts, Sanduq asks before downloading them once and keeps them on your phone.
• Websites you allow. An app can reach a website only after you allow that site for that app. The request goes from your phone directly to that website. Sanduq does not send cookies or saved logins with these requests. That website receives the request and your phone's network address, and its own privacy policy applies.
• Link apps. A link app opens its web page in your phone's browser. The browser's own privacy policy applies. Sanduq may read a link's page title once when you add it.

Contacting support

If you use Contact support, Sanduq prepares an email in your own email app and shows you exactly what it contains before anything is sent. You decide whether to include your logs and basic details about your phone: the Sanduq version, Android version, phone model and WebView version. We use what you send only to answer you and to fix problems, and we delete it on request.

The apps you add

The apps you add are made by you or by the AI tool you used. Sanduq runs each one in its own isolated space, so it cannot read other apps' data, your files or Sanduq's settings, and it needs your permission to reach the internet or send notifications. We are not responsible for what an app you add does with the information you type into it.

Device backups

Depending on your phone's settings, Android may include Sanduq's data in your device backup to your own Google account. That backup is controlled by you and by Google, not by us.

Children

Sanduq is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Your rights

Because we do not hold your personal information, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete those emails, and you can contact us about any privacy question at support@getsanduq.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change affects how Sanduq handles your information, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
